A showcase exhibition by Jenna Coutts

Hoping to discover and promote francophone visual arts communities throughout Canada, Jenna Coutts, Information Services Assistant at Artexte, dove into our collection. Many files came to the fore, not least of all the Association des groupes d’arts visuels francophones (AGAVF), which is composed of 20 francophone art organizations, artist-run centres, and collectives from across Canada. One display case features some of these members, while the other contains a selection of Canadian francophone art from West to East, which includes, among others, Franco-Manitoban, Franco-Ontarian, and Acadian artists. Here’s to Canadian Francophonie and its rich culture!
