Queer Between the Covers Bookfair
Saturday, August 13, 2016
11 AM to 6 PM
Centre communautaire de loisirs Sainte-Catherine d’Alexandrie
1700, Rue Amherst

The annual QBtC book fair takes place within the Pervers/cité alternative pride festival. The QBtC collective creates a venue to encourage the distribution of queer writing, with a focus on books and zines. They work toward creating an accessible environment for both vendors and attendees by providing a physically accessible space and featuring content and material from a wide array of queer experiences. Vendors include local and out of town bookstores, publishers, zine distros and individual zinesters and authors, and more! Both attending and tabling at the bookfair are on a “Pay What You Can” basis.

Qouleur
A grass-roots Qollectif of artists, performers, writers and political activists based in Montreal who have decided to volunteer their time and energy to bring awareness of racialized queer identities and experiences to the wider public. We work to bridge the gaps between communities and create an open space for voices that all too often go unheard.
