As part of this fall's research residency program, Artexte welcomes two inspiring researchers
Fall 2014
Louis Rastelli (Montréal)
Writer, editor, DJ, musician and important figure of the local artistic community, Louis Rastelli participated in the making of multiple independent publications and co-founded Expozine in 2009. He is also co-founder of Archive Montréal, a non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation and promotion of local independent culture, as well one of the creators of Distroboto.
J. J. Kegan McFadden (Winnipeg)
Returning to Artexte after his residency in 2013, the artist and curator will pursue his research on zines and magazines produced by Canadian artists, collectives, and artist-run centres during the 1990s. During this second residency, Kegan will be preparing for his exhibition Yesterday Was Once Tomorrow. This project is backed by The Manitoba/New Brunswick/Quebec Creative Residency program offered by the Manitoba Arts Council, and benefits from the support of The Canadian Council for the Arts.
